Gettin' a Move On...

This week has been a LONG one...
Started with a dietician appointment in which I'd lost ONE stinkin' pound. ONE!?
Okay, it's time to get down to business here. I mean, if I didn't have a problem I wouldn't be contemplating this surgery, right? But still... I need to get serious about being healthy. The band will be my friend. But friends only stick around as long as you're good to them! Time to get out & buy some new tools to help me, like my friend Camille.

Speaking of Camille, it's her birthday today! Happy Birthday, my friend!!!
And, since we're eating more "sensibly," I got you a virtual cake too. I thought of you the second I saw it:

Perhaps, someday (sigh), I'll be wearing shoes like that again. Right now, they'd be sure-fired tools towards my demise...

Speaking of demise, I have my psych consult TOMORROW! I finally made the appointment. Let's just say, I'm excited to get this one over with! He might find me crazier than a loon, but it'll be one more step along this journey.

More to come... but I must drag my bum into the shower & ready myself for a Thursday at work that looks sure to kill me. Sooo many surgeries... aaaarrrgghhhh!

Blessings,
Robin

  1. Hey Robin- I'm in Mexico right now vacationing, so I haven't checked my blog for a few days. I just saw your comment wondering about the C25K workout. I really like it- as a matter of fact I have done my week 3 workout the first two days that I have been here! I found some different music (not techno) with the cues for the workout in them. I can send you the link if you want, but you can probably find something you like (podcast) if you just google podcast couch to 5k.... so I guess my short answer is I love it! I hope you do to... I'm doing a 5k in March with another Washington Bandster. I am also planning on doing the Seattle Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon in June. That means I'm going to continue my training after the first 5k to increase my miles. Good luck and keep me posted on how it is going for you!

  4. So how did your pysch consult go?

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I'm always glad to follow new bloggers and offer my support. That's the thing I love about blog communities, they put together people who can provide support, advice and a shoulder.

Good luck with your pre-op appontments and insurance approval.
